The CAREC–ASEAN International Transport Alliance is established to promote structured and institutionalized cooperation between inland CAREC countries and ASEAN maritime nations. Through coordinated mechanisms, the Alliance integrates regional transport resources, advances regulatory alignment, corridor connectivity, service coordination, and information exchange, thereby enhancing logistics efficiency and supply chain resilience across the region.
The Alliance initiative was formally proposed on 16 October 2025 during the Liaoning International Logistics Corridor and Supply Chain Demand–Supply Matchmaking Conference, hosted by the People’s Government of Liaoning Province, and jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province, the Foreign Trade Development Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, and the CAREC Federation of International Logistics and Commerce Associations (CFILCA).
At the conference, the Alliance was jointly initiated by the CAREC Federation of International Logistics and Commerce Associations (CFILCA) and the ASEAN Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (ASEAN), and was officially launched under the witness of the President of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).

Cross-regional logistics cooperation between Central Asia and ASEAN continues to face challenges including fragmented transport corridors, complex customs procedures, inconsistent transport standards, and limited information connectivity. The Alliance aims to address these challenges through industry-driven cooperation and institutional dialogue, facilitating regulatory coordination, corridor development, and service integration. In doing so, it seeks to provide CAREC inland countries with efficient, reliable, and sustainable access to international maritime gateways, while supporting smoother regional trade flows.

Vision
To enable smoother and more efficient movement of goods and trade across the Asian continent.
Mission
To build efficient, convenient, and cost-effective international gateways for the CAREC region.
Objectives
1. Develop key international transport corridors linking CAREC and ASEAN regions
2. Represent and unify the collective voice of the regional logistics and transport industry
3. Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices among stakeholders
4. Foster a green, digital, and intelligent logistics ecosystem
