“865” members meeting and exhibition” was successfully held within the framework of the 10th anniversary of GS1 Mongolia and the 40th anniversary of GS1.

About 100 active members of GS1 Mongolia participated including domestic industries, importers, retailers, wholesale companies and government agencies such as General Customs Administration, General agency of State Inspection, State registration administration and shared with other participants successful practices to implement GS1 systems in their sectors.

During the meeting discussions were made sparked by the following interesting presentations:

• The current situation of barcode practice and law environment in Mongolia- by MNCCI;
• The implementing barcode practice on civil registration and archives of State registration - by State Registration Administration;
• Case study on using barcode and RFID to transport and export copper export - by Oyu-Tolgoi, LLC;
• Organizations’ logistic information issues - by IERP consulting, LLC;
• Barcode usage in Monos LLC - EPR system-warehouse, wholesale and retail, order and distribution - by Monos, LLC;
• The importance of using barcode for  donor registration and blood product test, production and order - by National Center of Blood transfusion and Research;
• GS1 system, barcode techniques, facility and software, hardware solution - by Electron Mon, LLC.

Reporters and participants shared detailed information about the success of the GS1 system and barcode practices in  healthcare, mining, retail, transport and warehouse logistic sectors. The event concluded with a Gala dinner and concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of GS1 Mongolia and the 40th anniversary of GS1.
