ISO 9001 is a quality management system that can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its industry. The standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, personnel involvement, process approach, system approach to management and continual improvement. The implementation of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system in transportation and logistics enterprises in Uzbekistan will result in the optimization of operations, minimization of operational costs and reduction of costs of exported and imported goods.
The organizers of the event include the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Uzbekistan, Association for Development of Business Logistics, Competence Center for Logistics under the Tashkent Automobile and Road Construction Institute, and USAID Regional Economic Cooperation Project.
