From 1 December 2015, Uzbekistan introduces a system of preliminary electronic notification of the state customs bodies on goods and vehicles, moving via the customs borders of Uzbekistan with help of automobile transport.

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On introduction of preliminary electronic notification of the state customs bodies on goods and vehicles, moving via the customs borders of Uzbekistan with help of automobile transport” on 30 October 2015.

The resolution was adopted in order to further improve and decrease time for customs registration, as well as improve reliability of information on goods and vehicles, moving via customs borders of Uzbekistan with help of automobile transport.

The Government provided right to transporters, customs brokers and other interested persons from 1 December 2015 to carry out preliminary electronic notification of the state customs bodies on goods and vehicles, moving (including transit) via the customs borders of Uzbekistan with help of automobile transport.

The document approved a list of information, which should be submitted to the customs bodies on preliminary notification on goods or vehicles. Information on transporter, goods, automobile, receiver, volume of cargo and other information should be submitted to customs bodies.

Interested persons can send information on cargo or vehicle via internet before start of movement or during movement (including during transit).

The customs bodies carry out inspection of correctness of preliminary data with the documents, accompanying the cargo.

If information in the preliminary data is correct, the customs control and registration will be conducted within an hour.

If information is incorrect or preliminary data was not submitted, the customs bodies enter necessary data to automated information system of cargo and vehicle movement, the resolution said.
