Pakistani air and cargo associations has created a joint database of freight payment defaulters to prevent future evasion, resolve ongoing issues and reduce cost of doing business for legitimate parties burdened by evasion costs.
Three associations, Pakistan International Freight Forwarders Association (PIFFA), Pakistan Ship's Agents Association (PSAA) and Air Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan (ACAAP) have joined, reports Karachi's International News, Karachi.
The PIFFA is a representative trade body of more than 550 member companies engaged in freight forwarding, licensed by Pakistani Ministry of Commerce.
It is also a national member of Pakistan at International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) and CAREC Federation of Carrier and Forwarder Associations (CFCFA).
Air Cargo Agents Association of Pakistan (ACAAP), is the only government registered national association of air cargo agents/air freight forwarders throughout Pakistan. ACAAP was formed in 1984.
