H.E.Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China paid a state visit to neighboring Mongolia upon the invitation of H.E. Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia, from August 21st to August 22nd.
After their one-on-one meeting, Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj invited President Xi Jinping to a signing ceremony for documents on bilateral relations and cooperation, including road and transportation sector.
The following 4 documents were signed between the governments of Mongolia and People’s Republic of China related to road and transportation sector:
- Inter-Governmental Agreement on access to the seaport and transit transport;
- Inter-Governmental Agreement on development of cooperation of the railway transit transport;
- Inter-Governmental Memorandum of Understanding on Development of Railway Cooperation;
- Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Road and Transportation of Mongolia and Railway Authority of People's Republic of China on renewal of the ‘Mongolia and China Border Railway Agreement.
H.E.Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation paid a working visit to neighboring Mongolia upon the invitation of H.E. Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia, on September 3rd. After their one-on-one meeting, Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj invited H.E.Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to a signing ceremony for documents on bilateral relations and cooperation, including road and transportation sector.
The following 3 documents were signed between the governments of Mongolia and Russian Federation related to road and transportation sector:
- Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in civic aviation between the Ministry of Road and Transportation of Mongolia and Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
- Agreement on renewing Ulaanbaatar Railway JSC and the development of a strategic partnership between Ministry of Road and Transportation of Mongolia and Russian Railway Community of Russia.
- Memorandum of understanding between MIAT Mongolian Airlines and Aeroflot Russian Airlines.
